Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Nathan C — 20 Sep 2012
Cronenberg is pretty much one of my favorite directors and to watch him actually allow Pattinson to act on film with powerful dialogue with a strong, often slow movie. It comes off political in nature while not actually choosing a side or conducting the audience into what to think.
It's genius. One of the reasons I like it so much is that in this movie with Packer's disturbed life, the writing of both Cronenberg and DeLillo illustrates what f**king animals we actually are, and you can see it in the strong acting how well it's portrayed.
4/5 stars.
