Review of Cosmopolis (2012) by Steve M — 13 Feb 2013
David Cronenberg's latest "Cosmopolis" is an interesting and bizarre entry in his vast filmography. Anchored with a suprisingly terrific performace by Robert Pattinson, the film follows a young billionaire in his tricked out limo as his world crumbles around him due to a risky investment.
The setting of the film can be seen as representing our current economic crisis and our potential future. The movie's screenplay is very interesting that features some jargon-heavy dialogue. Frequent Cronenberg collaborator and composer Howard Shore tranfixes moviegoers with a score that anything I have heard before.
