Review of Barry Lyndon (1975) by Codie E — 02 Dec 2008
A brilliant journey and story told with such grand elligance. Despite Ryan O'Neal's vocal performance (the accent is all over the place) it is testiment to Kubrick that this never really distracts the audience from seeing the magnitude of his task to bring this story to the screen.
The voice over is matched perfectly with the cinematography and editing to really transport the audience into Redmond Barry's world.
