While not as much entertainment as it is an indisputable triumph of artistic direction, Barry Lyndon is a slow burning masterpiece that left me wanting more even after its 3+ hour runtime. Thanks to it's astonishingly accurate art direction, innovative cinematography, and deep evolving characters, it is undoubtedly one of the most fully realized epics I have seen in my life.
