Review of Zulu (1964) by Andy A — 23 Aug 2007
The tale of the British stand at Rorke's Drift in 1879 against the Zulus is great because of the way it avoids demonizing any one side; for its time the level of PC in this movie and the ability of Cy Endfield to depict the Zulus with no amount of contempt make this not only a balanced war film but a very poignant one as well; try to ignore the outdated special effects; the closing scenes are great!
