I remember seeing this when I was in 9th grade and praising how bad-ass it was. But that was 6 years ago, and it's definitely showing it's age. The shaky CGI looks even more laughable, and the plot is pretty much incomprehensible, with too much characters and sub-plots going on.
Still, the movie earn its merits through some neat art direction and creativity. Most noteworthy is the awesome weaponry the characters sport (wings made out of blades, a huge energy mirror-thingie, etc.
) that will appease anime fans. It may be flawed, but it's still a fun ride.
