Review of Zorba the Greek (1964) by Matthew T — 26 Aug 2009
The only flaws I have with this movie are technical and rather unimportant. It can drag, but if you really listen to the message, it is fantastic. A wonderful story of finding freedom of mind, I have had the privilege to stand at the grave of the author of the book, upon which the movie is based, Nikos Kazantzakis.
Understanding his philosophies help you to understand the movie, which is extremely accurate to the book. Everyone should check this out for personal benefit, but it isn't for everyone.
