Review of Zootopia (2016) by Bret H — 17 Dec 2016

I understand that this movie was supposed to have hidden moral messages but it came off as preachy self-righteous, bigoted and boring. There was no doubt that this movie slanted left and it made no point in hiding it.

I wouldn't let my son watch it not because I disagree with what it is trying to convey but I can't stand movies made for children that try to indoctrinate their young viewers. I might could let some of the preachy dialogue slide if it was actually funny but it just wasn't.

I won't deny that it was original but it just wasn't compelling enough to like. The side characters were forgettable and their jokes bombed. The only one that was actually at least partially interesting was the fox but only because the characters around him were so bland.

Please Hollywood leave our children alone and trust the parents to teach their children to be good honest people.
