Review of Zoolander 2 (2016) by Cole B — 30 May 2016
In the anticipated sequel to 2001's Zoolander, Ben Stiller returns as the director and star to this lovable yet utterly dull character. Unfortunately, Zoolander 2 feels like it is at least 12 years too late.
It doesn't hit like the original did, and the comedy feels even more dumbed down, even for Derek Zoolander. Will Ferrell is even more over-the-top this time around, and the story is all over the place.
Stiller and co-star Owen Wilson continue to share great chemistry with one another, but that is the only saving grace of this lackluster comedy.
