I'm the first to admit that I "HATE" talking animal movies with a passion except if they are animated. I must admit though that I did enjoy this movie and it was a decent family film with alot of laughs.
Kevin James is cast perfectly as the inept zookeeper who is having girl trouble. Who better to help with that then the talking animals at the zoo. I know it's kinda weird but it works. Lot's of big name celebrity do the voice overs for the animals and Adam Sandler as the monkey is the best one.
Even though it is totally silly and would never happen, the scene where Kevin James and the gorilla, voiced by Nick Nolte go out for a dinner at T.G.I Fridays is hsyterical and the film is worth seeing just for that.
Check your brain at the door for this one and just plain enjoy it.
