Zookeeper is about a man who works as at a zoo (obviously). The film starts off with showing how the main character, Griffin (Kevin James). Is proposing to his girlfriend, when she then rejects him. A few years later she comes back and is somehow attracted to him again. Except, she wants him to stop being a zookeeper. She thinks his job is stupid, and disgusting. And so he starts to feel as if he should quit his job, since this might be the only way to score her back. The animals at the zoo soon find out about this, and want to help him bring her back into his life. He has no absolute idea that they can talk, until now of course.

The movie is very unoriginal with all its talking animals, and ridiculous plot. The jokes are meant to be funny, but instead they are just easy to make "potty humor". Nothing clever at all, just plain-out trash that even a 5 year old can come up with. The chemistry in this movie between Griffin and his ex girlfriend is meant to entertain the adult side of the audience. But it fails on that part too. First of all when you watch the movie you can easily agree that this woman is not worth fighting for. She's spoiled, controlling, and loony. This is NOT the way to bring in chemistry. The film then tries to add another side of chemistry (spoilers ahead). When his zoo-mate Kate is used to make his ex girlfriend jealous. We can tell that both of the characters like each other, and are practically going to be together with each other at the end. Kate might not be as stupid as Griffin's ex girlfriend. But she is barely seen spending time with Griffin throughout the entire movie. The film also tries to entertain the children's side of the audience with its talking animals. The animals are meant to be funny with their jokes and inexcusable behavior. But children will not understand most of the jokes because they are too mature for them. And even if they do understand them, you won't see them laughing, and if they DO laugh then you might want to check their report cards. So if you are going to see this movie, you are going to regret it. And if you don't regret it then you must be either drunk, mindless, or just a Kevin James fan.
