Review of Zoo (2006) by Jordan A — 27 Sep 2007
There's little extraordinary about this lyrical "Unsolved Murders"-filmed-esque documentary, except at how wannabe artsy and poorly executed the concept actually is. There has to be a better more complete story here than the one we're shown here.
However, if curiosity does get to you, be sure to view the film with English subtitles or you will be confused for the entire thing. "It's just....so.....that....there is...when I was there..
...i saw....the time was.......and then I was scared and......we drank beer.....we showed up late........" Long pauses try to fill up the spare time this movie had. It would've worked better as a compelling short documentary I think.
Disturbing, yes. But potentially compelling nonetheless.
