Review of Zombieland: Double Tap (2019) by Dawdlingpoet — 25 Nov 2021
This is an entertaining horror comedy sequel. I liked the bright, sometimes neon colours used in some scenes - it gives it the feel of a graphic novel come to life. I also liked Woody Harrelson in some of his costumes/disguises (Santa and Elvis to name a couple). Its pretty zany, as you may expect. The special effects are pretty decent too. I like Jesse Eisenberg's dialogue at times - he both portrays Columbus and provides narration. Its an entertaining watch, as I say and while its not entirely chock full of strong plotline, its not too bad. The monster trucks sequence was pretty cool and also, a tip for Bill Murray fans - watch the end credits in full.
If you enjoyed the first film then you'll likely enjoy this, I'd have thought, so I'd recommend it on that basis.
