Review of Zombieland: Double Tap (2019) by Bkorras — 24 Nov 2019
Zombieland: Double Tap is a worthy sequel to the 2009 film. The movie is a fun ride from start to finish. I loved that they used Metallica's "Master of Puppets" in the action and gore packed opening scene.
There's so much violence straight up that I'm surprised the mainstream media hasn't kicked a fuss about it. Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, and Emma Stone are great as usual. Abigail Bresnan didn't have too much to do because, for most of the movie, her character goes missing, forcing our heroes to go looking for her.
Along the journey, we meet new characters played by Rosario Dawson, Luke Wilson, Thomas Middleditch, and most memorably, Zoey Deutch. The writing and performances are hilarious, and the action set-pieces are well choreographed.
