I loved this movie. It was pretty hilarious. I don't understand all the negative reviews either. I loved the first movie and yes this one is different. That's a good thing though. Who wants the same thing all over again? E.g. One guy is complaining that there was no mention of Tallahassee's love for Twinkies. This movies takes place years after the first movie, which was right after the outbreak. Twinkies would be long gone by then. They are not going to last several years. That ship has sailed.

If you go into this movie looking for a repeat of the first, you might be disappointed, but if you go with an open mind, you'll love it. That's how I feel at least. Seriously... My jaw dropped to see all the negative user reviews. I was completely surprised by them.
