Review of Zombieland (2009) by Brandon W — 24 Mar 2015
Zombieland is an excellent zombie movie that effectively mixes zombie action and comedy. Jesse Eisenberg is great, Woody Harrelson is one of the best parts of the movie and is having a lot of fun, and Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin are really good.
Even though it's not a horror movie, it does create a few scares that are effective. The characters are memorable, and the plot is good enough to be invested in. It's the most hilarious zombie film I have ever watched since Shaun of the Dead.
The jokes are non-stop but are really funny every time. Even the pop culture references get a laugh too. Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick did an amazing job with their script that is witty, and it has memorable lines.
The cameo is fantastic, just hilarious, and the soundtrack is catchy. The action scenes are exciting to watch, and the climax of the film gets you on the edge. Zombieland stands out with the creativity as the brain that the movie used.
