Review of Zombie Town (2007) by James ( — 10 Jun 2009
Don?t get too excited, Dot. We wouldn?t want you to have an accident.
A small town where everyone knows your name is infested by a parasite that turns locals into flesh eating zombies. Initially, a group of hunters encounter the parasite and quickly turn against each other. As the local sheriff and his brother investigate the incident, they are attacked by the zombies and the disease spreads. Can the brothers work together to stop the parasite from spreading?
?She hates it when I drink.?
?Because you piss the bed.?
?I do not piss the bed!?
Damon Lemay directs Zombie Town in his directorial debut. Lemay produced and wrote the screenplay for this picture. The storyline for this film is not overly inventive and may remind some of Night of the Creeps. The parasite even looks like the leach-like creatures from Night of the Creeps. The acting is weak and the cast includes Adam Hose, Brynn Lucas (Three Bad Men), Dennis Lemoine (The Foresome), and Phil Burke (Mike and Lucy).
?Damn it Ray, have you been drinking??
This film recently aired on the Chiller Channel on DirecTV (channel 257). I am a sucker for the zombie genre and had to see this monstrosity. This film had some descent gore sequences; specifically, when the parasites burrowed out of the humans. Nevertheless, there were not enough gory sequences to make-up for the poor script and bad acting. Overall, even if you are a zombie genre fan, skip this picture.
?N35, you jackass.?
Grade: D.
