Review of Zodiac (2007) by Josh J — 11 Jun 2014
Zodiac is easily the best film adaptation of the most puzzling and somewhat annoying criminal cases in American history. I say it's the best because of its story which is strong and relatively easy to follow not to mention a very successful and talented cast including Jake Gyllenhall, Mark Ruffalo and Robert Downey Jr.
So with these three powerful leads it sets a high expectation for the film, and for me it never really seemed like disappointing. Going back to the story/plot everything is done really well including characters evolution, music etc.
but also Zodiac sticks to the point of the story and doesn't have any surprise twists or turns which would probably mess with the story. A dark suspenseful thriller that I really enjoyed and liked how everything turned out.
