Review of Zero Effect (1998) by Gabe B — 11 Jun 2007
The awkward screen chemistry of underdog actors Pullman and Stiller is perfect for this modern-day P.I. noir flick. Stiller is a great frustrated straight-man, and Pullman's easy insecurity makes the question of his character's ingenuity teeter precariously throughout.
Wonderfully diverse, obtuse soundtrack.
