Review of Zero Effect (1998) by Steven M — 12 Jan 2010
After two quite staid films I saw this and was very much entertained. It has an energetic, intriguing plot which draws you in, a great lead performance by Pullman and enough confidence and imagination to never bore.
I don't know the Sherlock Holmes story on which it is based but will now keep a look out for it. I heard this is hard to find but if it is ever shown on Channel 5 in the UK again, I heartily recommend it.
