Review of Zeitgeist: The Movie (2007) by Stamatios M — 28 Dec 2008
A bit extreme, starts off well but gradually loses credibility (the first part on Christianity being by far the best). A textbook pseudo-documentary, it mixes proven facts with subjective opinions to convince its viewers (especially the third part which is full of quotes). I personally cross-checked some information and found it false.
Also, it attributes some widely-known historical facts to secret conspiracies and hidden agendas as if the world is manipulated by a handful of people, while the simple truth is that men in power have always been exploiting human nature to their advantage and governments have always been ineffective.
It certainly offers plenty of food for thought however and it is very well structured and narrated. Watch it just to hear what it has to say, but be very critical of what you learn.
