Review of Zeitgeist: The Movie (2007) by Alex M — 03 Jun 2012
So many things to cover, but I will just go with this, the problem isn't truth or being able to show evidence of the truth, the problem is that people are unwilling to go where the truth leads them.
In the movie the Avengers Loki stats that people want to be ruled over in a scene that seems pretty hard to just accept and comes across as pure comic book villainy. The sad thing is that its true. People far more than not want someone else to lead them, tell them want to do and then be left alone.
Clock in, do your time, go home, repeat. This leads to complacency and nothing makes complacency seem so great as fear. Fear that the routine can be broken if you don't let someone else take control.
Someone else to wear the lab coat and tell them to gives the shocks. Someone to keep the chaos at bay, because 'the thing about chaos, is it's fear' (Joker, Dark Knight).
