Sean Connery runs around in a loin-cloth and battles psychic immortals in a futuristic utopia. If that doesn't make you want to see it, then stay far, far away. This altogether bizarre oddity is actually an insanely entertaining science fiction film.
The film is the singular vision of writer/director/producer John Boorman (Deliverance), whose reach gloriously exceeds his means here.
