Comparing Kevin Smith to Judd Apatow is borderline insulting. To Smith, I mean. This movie's only real shortcomings were the lack of closure (as others have noted) and the fact that very early on in the story, the viewer will stop and say "This is going to turn into a romantic comedy before the end".

If you have a girlfriend with a crude sense of humour, this is a perfect date movie, basically.
