Review of Z for Zachariah (2015) by Tey Z — 20 Oct 2015
This is one of those films that is almost impossible to rate. On one hand it is a piss poor adaptation of a great book excising its great theme of science vs religion. On another hand, this is a film of high cinematic quality, beautifully shot, acted and paired with an engaging soundtrack.
Unfortunately, its poor pacing, derivative plot and specks of borderline pretentiousness pulls it down.
