Review of Z (1969) by Ramon A — 24 Aug 2009
"Any resemblance to real events, to persons living or dead, is not accidental. It is DELIBERATE.". The very interesting plot is based on real events occurred in Greece, as the opening credits warn.
This is a fast-paced 60s political thriller, it manages to pack such a dense storyline and so many characters via careful and clever editing. The last scenes are a brilliant montage lesson on clever audio and image combination.
The cast has several renown French actors, with Jean-Louis Trintignant excelling as a methodical young attorney.
