Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Lucille B — 16 Nov 2008
A v. personal film for coppola..it's the director's self-reflection about life. excluding the story, the style is v.much like apocalypse... n it's got some traces from david lynch's films too.
The story itself revolves some concepts from buddhism and the butterfly dream from zhungzi ,which to me it's quite interesting to see how a foreigner interprets these old oriental philosophy... and then u'll see why martin scorses's "the departed" is no better than "infernal affairs"..
