Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by Bellaray ? — 15 Dec 2007
It's a delight to see Coppola back even if the work is unexceptional. However, he deserves a good deal of credit not only for financing the film himself, but also for trying to express the transcendental in film.
As with all Coppola films there are exquisitely directed scenes, but there are also a few shockingly literal uses of imagery as well. All said, I hope that there will be more and better films to follow.
