Review of Youth Without Youth (2007) by T R — 29 Dec 2007
A very beautiful film, and I'm sure an oscar-winner. Also a bit confusing, but makes you want to watch it again. I have not seen a lot of Coppola's work admittingly being a film major, but I really respect him for this as it is quite a masterpiece in its originality.
The entire film was shot on HDV I'm pretty sure, but it looks more beautiful than film for some reason. I think it's because of the amazing acting, lighting and overall cinematography. If you can stand the confusion, go see this.
It is quite original.
