Review of Youth (2015) by Zacho D — 30 Sep 2015
VIFF Review: Michael Caine, Harvey Keitel, Rachel Weisz, and Paul Dano are absolute dynamite in Paolo Sorrentino's "Youth", but the really star is Sorrentino's direction and hilarious, yet, enlightening screenplay that is likely to gain an easy nomination come Oscar season.
Michael Caine could also be up for an Oscar as this role is easily his best in years. The cinematography is beautiful as well, but really it's the rounded cast, a truly fantastic screenplay, and a truly fantastic director that make "Youth" one of the best of 2015 and a sure bet for some nominations in the awards season.
