Review of Youth (2015) by Ionu? M — 24 Jan 2016
Once again, Paolo Sorrentino doesn't disappoint.
Screenplay is about the eternal struggle between age and youth, the past and the future, life and death, commitment and betrayal.
Performances of Michael Caine and Harvey Keitel are treat to watch. While Keitel steals every scene that he is a part of, Caine delivers a deeply nuanced performance around which the entire film revolves.
Cinematography is pretty much impeccable, every frame looks like a painting.
Probably not for everyone, but I loved it.
