Review of You're Next (2013) by Bb_Critic — 24 May 2015
You're Next really surprised me. I thought it was going to be a run-of-the-mill, cheesy B grade horror movie. But no, it is in its own way original and clever. It is less of a horror movie and more of a dark comedy, like "American Psycho" from 2000.
It has a lot of witty dialogue and a new take on the home invasion genre. However, the movie does feel stale at times and the killers aren't creepy enough considering they show their real faces multiple times.
Overall, You're Next is a solid, entertaining movie.
