Review of You're Next (2013) by Boy_Number_8 — 15 Aug 2014
As someone who is a fan of a lot of horror slasher films its a nice breath of fresh air to watch a film where the leading lady isnt some dumb girl running up the stairs when she should be running out the front door, or is weak, annoying, screaming non stop and manages to survive more on luck than skill.
"You're next" flips the classic slasher movie script and has the leading lady be a survival expert who ends up hunting the baddies instead of it being the other way round.
There are a few jump scares but its not scary, in fact the ending becomes a little comedic.
Some of the acting is a little hit and miss and like most films in this genre there are plot holes you'll just have to ignore, but overall I found it very enjoyable, a nice change.
