Review of Your Sister's Sister (2011) by Colin G — 27 Jun 2012
Really liked this small, emotional movie about a guy, his best friend, and her half-sister. The relationships between Mark Duplass, Emily Blunt, and Rosemarie DeWitt make the whole movie. They're all great actors, and it seemed like some of the movie's amazing dialogue was improvised. All three of them show remarkable range.
The necessity of explaining why one sister has a British accent and the other one doesn't seems a little forced--why not just cast two actresses from the same country? And I can see how some people probably don't like the conclusion of the movie and having a problem with its believability. That doesn't take away from this heartfelt film.
