A charming, funny, and touching romantic comedy, with fine performances from a trio of talented actors. Writer/director Shelton has a deft ear for honest dialogue. She grounds the movie with characters that are recognizable and flawed.
Blunt, Dewitt, and Duplass deliver great performances and capture the pain, hope, and love that their characters feel. Though there may be some familiarity with the set-up of the story, thanks to sharp writing, sensitive direction, and terrific performances, the movie is something special.
