Review of Your Name. (2016) by Egor A — 30 Nov 2016
The film beautifully captures the dichotomy of the traditional and modern Japan. Both the land- and cityscapes are breathtaking in scale and even more so in detail. The first half of the film is a hilarious exploration of gender, and the second is an emotional chase after a dream.
It is so whole and wonderfully alive that I wanted to watch it again even before stepping out of the cinema.
