I can't think of a single movie that I have ever seen in my entire life that has had a major affect on the way I perceive things. The closest I can think of is probably Ex Machina, which made me vaguely question the significance of human consciousness, and whether it is something tangible that could be given to a machine.

Kimi No Na Wa, or in English: Your Name, has literally changed how I see myself in the future, and the kind of person that I want other people to see me as when they meet me. Oddly enough it also taught me to not hold on to the past, but instead treasure the memories that are important to me.

This movie is beautiful, and a must see for anyone who even remotely enjoys Japanese animation. I can actually confidently say that watching this film has been the start to repairing my relationship--not just because it was something that we shared together, but because it helped me realize how to cherish her more--which can only drive me to implore everyone to watch this film.
