Review of Your Highness (2010) by Beau F — 16 Aug 2012
This was a bit disappointing, especially considering Ben Best, Danny McBride and David Gordon Green (of the excellent Eastbound & Down) were the brains of the movie (writers and director).
It had a fairly good idea, the brave prince and his not so brave brother go to rescue a maiden who was supposed to marry the prince from an evil wizard. Now throw in the curse words and a bit of dialogue from nowadays mixed in and BAM, you've got Your Highness.
It had some good jokes but it had too many dick jokes and there were way more dumb dick jokes then there was good jokes.
It had a good amount of nudity crammed into one section of the movie and Natalie Portman was looking pretty damn good.
Not quite as good as Pineapple Express though it tried to be similar in being a stoner comedy with action, but fell a little flat.
James Franco may have been the worst actor in the bunch, it just seemed like every time he talked he was struggling to get the accent right.
