Review of Your Highness (2010) by Eli T — 05 Mar 2013
The quality of Your Highness is surprising, especially because they put way more effort into making it a fantasy adventure than a comedy.
Your Highness features a very convincing setting, more than you'd expect from this kind of comedy film. It has decent visual effects, great costumes and makeup and a great cast, as well as some sorcery thrills with sword fights in there.
James Franco and Danny McBride make a great duo and make it a comedic riot of an adventure, and some good support comes from Natalie Portman who holds her own with a strong performance as well as sex appeal.
And even though there's a bit much swearing in the dialogue and a lack of consistency in the humour, A lot of effort was put into Your Highness with obvious good intentions and so it becomes a decent comedic homage to sword-and-sorcery with a good comedic lead from Danny McBride.
