Review of Young People Fucking (2007) by Alex Y — 04 Jul 2008
Hilarious, absolutly hilarious. The five vignettes were very smartly interwoven, which really added to the comedy and contrast of the film. I was surprised by this film (and it's excellent cast) it was heart warming and sweet, nothing like Short Bus (which is what I was anticipating) Each vignette, although unique gave the viewer a distinct view on a relationship, which made all five very easy to relate to.
What sets this apart from other cinema (and Canadian cinema: weird sex and snow shoes) is how neatly/smartly this story is told, and despite the fact that it takes place over the course of a few hours, one really gets to know the characters and relationships.
Over all a very well done movie, definatly worth checking out in the theatre with someone you can laugh about sex with... So probably not Grandma'.
