Review of Young Guns II (1990) by Rakib H — 16 May 2010
Solid sequel which does a good job of closing off this unconventional, brat pack take on the Billy the Kid legend. It lacks the focus of the original, occasionally wandering around aimlessly but the action, atmospheric New Mexico locations and enthusiastic cast will see you through.
Kiefer Sutherland and Lou Diamond Phillips have been largely left on the back burner this time around but Emilio Estevez is once again excellent as Billy the Kid with his cocky, carefree attitude and lovable laugh and William Petersen's intensity as Pat Garrett is equally memorable.
