Review of Young Guns (1988) by Brendan H — 16 Feb 2010
Why do I like the lousy acting films of the 80's??? Meh? I dunno call it one of my guilty pleasures in life. Young Guns is actually still one of my favorite westerns of all time. I love the fact that the ever so cool brat pack was cast as The Regulators in this.
I love the fact that they got one of the best charector actors in the business to play the viilain in Jack Pallance, add the always great Terence Stamp and voila a cheesy yet cool western for the ages.
What ever happened to Lou Diamond Phllips? I think I remeber seing him on a C.S.I Vegas episode or something but either then that since the 80's he's been a no show. This to me will always be a great way to waste a rainy day.
Do yourself a favor though and stay clear from the sequel, no where near as good.
