Review of Young Adult (2011) by Karen S — 21 Feb 2014
A convincing performance by Charlize Theron of an alcoholic woman revisiting her hometown where she manages to reprise her former role as high school mean girl. This was surprisingly enjoyable despite a thoroughly unlikeable main character.
Initially I thought it was going to glamourise alcoholism but in fact it does the opposite,and arouses many differing emotions. Worth a watch.
