Generally the films scripted by Diablo Cody and directed by Jason Reitman films keep certain similarities of content and content, whether in the movies where the screenwriter and filmmaker worked together - as is the case of "Young Adult" - is performed in projects separately.

Productions are mainly current, latent addressing issues of modern society, always with a bias tragicomic, with handfuls of cynicism and acidity. In "Juno" approaches to teenage pregnancy in "Thank You for Smoking," the interests of large corporations in "Up in the Air" the loneliness of a life dedicated solely to the work.

Nothing more appropriate, therefore, that the next target is the generation of emotionally immature adults who seem to have arisen from day to night in large urban centers. It is here, people who can not forge deeper and more serious consequences in their relationships, people who choose to extend the freedom of adolescence and his emotional disengagement.

The great trump card of Reitman and Cody is once again the lightness or deal with such matters without resorting to fabrications narratives, or to excess psychologism, can offer an almost sociological experience, without sacrificing entertainment.

Here, a seemingly successful TV writer (Charlize Theron) embarks towards his hometown, to regain his love of youth (Patrick Wilson), with plans to destroy her recent marriage.

Without trials, excessive drama, or humor appealing, get up here a balanced harmony of genres, which does the job of addressing another hallmark of the new century. And the powers that Charlize Theron embodies a woman without limits, is the big brand you certainly will not soon forget.
