Review of Young Adult (2011) by Dan B — 19 May 2013
A good movie that puts it in perspective that some people never leave the mind of high school. Charlize Theron led a strong performance in this, but she came off as that school girl you always hated in high school.
I never was quite rooting for her since what she was trying to do was wrong. Patton Oswalt was a great side character, he brought his usual charm and really came off as a likable character. The movie was a good fast paced film and really throws a good message out there in the end.
This also pointed out how some Ex's can be trouble for the future and some just never let go of the past. It was a very good story to watch develop, I just thought it ended a little too fast when they could've wrapped one thing up clearer but I guess it's not all that important.
