Once again Swinton's performance raises this film out of the primeval ooze of montonous sex romps with the pretence of emotion and to a far higher rank. Although this film does focus on the adulterous relationship between wife and employee McGregor and Swinton show emotion and passion now Hollywood film could ever hope to match.
The look, emotion and style of the film makle this one fo the best Britsish arthouse movies.
