Review of Young Adam (2003) by Deirdre S — 03 Aug 2007
Interesting film with a magnetic albeit enigmatic perforance by a slimmed down Ewan McGregor. I was hoping that his character would be mature and make an unselfish decision for once and try to redeem himself in the end.
It seems Cathie (Emily Mortimer in a solid performance) was the one who received no justice in the end. Original story and good cast for the most part but were all those risque and graphic scenes really all that necessary.
I tend to think not.
