Review of You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010) by John M — 18 Nov 2010
It seems Woody Allen is losing the charm and the dramatic touch he once had in his earlier films, as well as the recent "Vicky Christina Barcelona." This film tries too hard to give you a life lesson from each of its characters, which is usually what Woody Allen films do, but with much more intriguing subject matter, and usually with a darker style.
Antonio Banderas is fun to watch in the relationship with Naomi Watts and Josh Brolin puts on a great performance, but there just isn't enough great subject matter here or charm to consist with previous Allen flicks.
