Review of You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (2010) by Dean H — 05 Dec 2011
This had some decent acting in it but ultimately was quite wishy-washy and uneven. Banderas is wasted, Watts just complains and shouts for 90 minutes and Brolin never really seems to gt into his character fully.
Hopkins is outstanding and holds most of the film together, unfortunately he has little interraction with any of the other characters. Some of Allen's compilation of stories work well but others, like this just clash a little more then they mesh and you end up with a few small vignettes smashed together rather than a successful malaise.
