Review of Sweetwater (2012) by Huw G — 15 Sep 2018
Wow. Strong female lead, a refusal to glorify violence, fundamentalism cast in a bad light, even some black humour, and a powerful film all round. A lot of people seem upset by this shakeup of the tired Western format.
It's too dark and brutal for me, but it's still impossible to deny this is a very strong piece of work. Do not be mislead, this is not the bad movie someone wants you to believe it is.
